Tutela Ring – Silver Black & White Rhodium

£375.00

The Tutela ring is your own personal talisman of strength and protection, a strikingly sculptural piece that evokes the ancient strength of cities and monuments which inspired the collection.

The pyramids, standing from the band are of different heights and sizes, but none is superior to the other. Let this be your personal reminder that everything holds power, and even the smallest step can lead to big transformations.

The ring was hand carved in wax by Heather in her studio and created using the ancient method of lost wax casting, which has been used for over 6,000 years.

Rhodium plating is a great choice for those looking for a bright shine finish.

If you are not sure about your ring size and you’re local to Rye, you can meet Heather at the Rye Creative Centre by appointment to take your size. If this is not possible, we would recommend popping into your local high street jewellery shop and asking if they could assist with the measurement.

Alternatively, finger sizers are available to buy online or directly from our online shop to measure your finger at home. Please take time to carefully measure in this way as it can be a little tricky.

Please note that finger sizes do vary throughout the day, so try and pick a time when your hands feel comfortable, not too cold nor after exercise, as these effects can cause the size to fluctuate a little. Taking the time to ensure an accurate measurement means we can match you with the perfect ring that fits comfortably, to treasure for years to come.

  • Our metals are hallmarked by the London Assay Office, which has been testing and hallmarking precious metals for over 700 years; the motto of the Goldsmiths’ Company is ‘Justice is the Queen of Virtues’ with integrity at the core of the company.

Their Hallmark stamp of approval is a guarantee of the properties of the metals used in our jewellery and the quality of the piece which comes with that.

Our unique Hallmark Makers Mark is a simple, ‘HJR’ which will allow future generations to identify Heather Rajaratnam as the maker, and can be both a treasured and traceable heirloom for generations to come. The stamp is either lasered or physically stamped onto the piece.

The rules of Hallmarking are stringent, and are a requirement to sell precious metal jewellery under their specific metal names (such as 9ct or 18ct gold) legally in the United Kingdom.

Please note that on occasion, some precious metal jewellery does not require Hallmarking, for example less than 1 gram of Gold or 7.78grams of Silver do not require testing. If this is a concern for you, please get in touch and we can discuss getting single items tested.

  • Inspired by Heather’s travels to Sri Lanka and love of exploring ancient monuments and cities the Tutela Collection was created. The name comes from the Latin Term for Protection. Heather’s passion is to create wearable forms of jewellery that capture a feeling or memory. The jewellery are statement pieces that will become part of your own personal style and expression of yourself.
